Spott, Lucey & Wall, Inc. is seeking top level (minimum GPA 3.2 and mostly A's in accounting subjects) accounting graduates who are committed to a lifelong career in public accounting and who aspire to eventual ownership in our firm. All of our accountants including the owners (except the founder) were recruited directly from colleges and universities and promoted to ownership in about ten years. We have a working environment where individual employees have a real impact on both the firm and its clients. On the job experience and client contact begin your first month at Spott, Lucey & Wall, Inc. New accountants are involved immediately in all aspects of accounting. New staff members actively participate in staff meetings and have a voice in making decisions affecting the firm.
Each accountant in the office designs and executes, with the assistance of management, a personal development program that best matches his or her interests and client responsibilities. We encourage staff members to put time and energy into professional development, including attendance at seminars sponsored by the AICPA and CALCPA. We expect all accountants in the office to quickly pass the CPA exam and become certified. Then, we expect them to complete a Masters degree in Taxation and a Certificate in International Tax.
